General Information
The International Workshop on Prospects on Particle Physics: "Neutrino Physics and Astrophysics" is orgazined by Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna) and and Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences and it will be held from February 1 (arrival day) to February 8 (departure day), 2015 in "Valday" resort, Novgorod region on the picturesque banks of the lake Uzhin which is about 400 km north of Moscow.
This is the second event in the series of Workshops on Prospects of Particle Physics, first held in 2014. By this series we have revived a tradition of organizing regular meetings on non-accelerator particle physics and astroparticle physics. We try to unite best of the events have been united: "Non-Accelerator New Physics" held by JINR, Dubna and Baksan School "Particles and Cosmology" held by INR RAS. We plan to gather active Russian and international theorists and experimentalists, with an emphasis on the experimentalists working in neutrino physics and astroparticle physics. An idea is to focus each meeting of this series on particular areas.
The main topics of the Workshop:
- Physics and astrophysics with underwater and under-ice detectors.
- Long Baseline Neutrino Oscillations
- Selected Topics in Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology
The format of the Workshop includes morning sessions with reviews on recent developments in the field and afternoon sessions in which original presentations are made. We expect that about 70-80 physicists will participate in the Workshop. The working language at the Workshop will be English.
Participation
The Workshop will be held with a limited number of participants to create an informal atmosphere inspiring fruitful discussions. We expect that participants will arrive to Valday on February 1, 2014 and will leave on February 8, 2014.
Accomodation
Participants will be housed in the resort "Valday" which is situated on the picturesque banks of the lake Uzhin about 400 km northwest from Moscow. A limited number of rooms in "Valday" resort will be pre-booked for participants of the Meeting. The estimated cost is 2950 rubles/night for shared double room (full board, double accupation) per participant and 4400 rubles/night (full board, signle accupation). The numbers above represent our best estimation at the moment and may slightly change later.
Registration Fee
The registration fee will amount to 6000 Russian rubles per participant and 4000 russian rubles for the accompanying person. The registration fee includes: rent of a conference hall, all local expenses in "Valday" resort (transfer from the Bologoe railway station to the "Valday" resort, coffee breaks) and social events. Payment should be done to the Organizing Committee by cash only. No credit cards will be accepted.Social Program
